Last month following the horrific Shraddha Walker murder case, a man named Muzzamil allegedly gave a similar threat to his girlfriend, a Hindu, in Meerut. A case was later registered against Muzammil at the Pallavpuram Police Station in Meerut, where the complainant also alleged that he posed as a Hindu man named Shivam to trap her in a relationship.
The Case
Talking to news channels, the complainant said that Muzzamil introduced himself as Shivam to trap her into a love relationship. She found it out much later.
Using her money, he bought a bike and a mobile phone among other things. He made her send money to his family members as well.
She said they were in a relationship for two years where he sexually exploited her on the pretext of marriage. He also made her terminate her pregnancy thrice.

As per a report by Dainik Jagran, the complainant lives near Roorkee Road in Pallavpuram and works at a boutique. When the accused introduced himself to her, he said he lives in the Sofipur area.
After the two entered into a relationship with each other, she asked him to get her introduced to his family. He refused. When she put pressure, he made her meet his mother Chamniyan and sister Insha. They accepted the relationship and said they would get her married to their son her soon. On their promise, the complainant was assured about her future.
For almost a week that followed, Shivam did not meet the victim. When she reached his house in Sofipur, she found he was not a Hindu. The people nearby told her that his name was Muzammil, and his father’s name is Sajid.
Later, when Muzammil found out that she had visited his house, he got furious with her. In rage, he said he would chop her into pieces like Delhi’s Shraddha if she dared tell anyone about him.
The victim then reached the police station.
