Finding a dog tearing flesh from a human body, residents of Santhali Momin Tola area in Sahebganj district of Jharkhand informed the police on Saturday evening.

The victim was identified as 22-year-old Ribika Pahadi, while the suspect was identified as 25-year-old Dildar Ansari.
The site of the crime falls under Borio Police Station.
As per a report by Dainik Bhaskar, Ribika and Dildar were having a love affair for the past two years. They wanted to marry each other but both families were against the alliance.
Dildar was already married to a woman from his community.
Ribika Pahadi comes from a scheduled caste and lived in the Doda Pahad area in Sahebganj.
Dildar and Ribika eloped last month and reached out to the police seeking protection for their marriage. They got married at the police station. She became Dildar’s second wife.
Things changed overnight for Ribika as Dildar’s family never accepted her. Disputes began arising between her and Dildar owing to his first marriage.
In a video statement (see below), the victim’s sister, Sheela Pahadi, told the media that Dildar called her and said that her sister was killed while he was out of town. He said his family members had killed her. She told the media, “I fear they will kill all of our family members.”
To hide the crime and confuse the police, Dildar also registered a missing person report for his wife Ribika.
Ribika’s head is yet to be recovered by the police. Soon after receiving information from the locals, the police teams started looking for other body parts. The mystery was solved soon as the police had witnessed their marriage.
They detained Dildar as the prime suspect in this murder.
As per the DIG, Sudarshan Mandal, the victim was Dildar’s second wife and his first wife lived in the same house. They had disputes over this.
As per reports, Dildar accepted all the allegations against him in police custody and, on his statement, the police teams recovered other body parts.

As per reports, the body parts were lying on the floor while others were packed in gunny bags.
Ritika was killed on 16 December 2022, and an electric cutter was used for chopping the body. He allegedly chopped her into more than fifty pieces.
The police have arrested six more members of his family including his parents Mustakim and Mariyam; Dildar’s first wife Gulera; and Dildar’s siblings Ameer, Mehtab and Shareja.
The victim’s father, Surja Pahadiya, while speaking to the media, said that the accused had chopped his daughter into more than hundred pieces.
DIG Mandal said the motive behind chopping the body of the victim is not clear in this case so far. Prima Facie the accused chopped the body to hide the crime.
The police teams have also collected the murder weapon from the abandoned house in Manjha Tola. Apart from Dildar, the police also arrested his family members for interrogation.
Surja Pahadiya and his wife Chandi Pahadiya were against this affair. It was almost a month ago that their daughter eloped with Dildar.
