Congress member Andria D’Souza, who often appears on television debates as party spokesperson, called for killing of Gems of Bollywood team on her Twitter account yesterday.
After the Gems of Bollywood Twitter account highlighted it and tagged the police, she deleted her post.
A screenshot of it can be seen here, posted by Gems of Bollywood co-founder Swati Goel Sharma, who is a journalist. Swati runs the account with Sanjeev Newar, a data scientist and author of several books.
See the screenshots below:
In her tweet, D’Souza, wrote (sic), “ur messing with a person who blues that trolls like u are roaches who need to be killed with pesticides.”
It should be read as, “You are messing with a person who believes that trolls like you are roaches who need to be killed with pesticides.”
About Andria D’Souza
As per her Wikipedia page, D’Souza was born in Dubai. She started off as a news presenter but went on to be an actor. The page shows erotic film Kamasutra 3D as her last film. Reports say she was supposed to play lead in an adult film named For Adults Only.
These days, she appears on television news debates as ‘political analyst’.
D’Souza is accused of spreading fake information, and has made a fool of herself many times on television.
In 2019, during a debate on Times Now, she said that National Population Register was first conducted in 2003. When Times Now news presenter Rahul Shivshankar pointed out that it was in 2010 not 2003, she began finding the information on Google right away. Other panellists had a hearty laugh.
She made another blunder in the video, suggesting that a ‘pilot’ of the NPR survey was conducted after the survey!
Same year, it was revealed by a Twitter user that she charges Rs 500 to make promotional tweets.
The Twitter user was BJP Delhi member Tajinder Singh Bagga. He tweeted that the post by D’Souza made last night on Flipkart Big Billion Sale promotion was a paid one. And that she took Rs 500 for it.
Bagga shared a screenshot as proof. It was a conversation between two people where a deal was made that her Twitter account ‘@riarevealed’ would post a paid tweet for Flipkart for Rs 500.
Bagga revealed that the date of the Flipkart Big Billion Sale mentioned in D’Souza’s tweet was actually his birthday, and she had posted it without checking the date.
A flustered D’Souza, who is known for such hilarious blunders, said that her manager had done the tweet. She also got really abusive and started accusing Bagga of being a pimp.
After this embarrassing episode, D’Souza further embarrassed herself when that ‘manager’ went public to say that he is not her manager at all.
